A lot of you have asked how I did this piece so I thought I would show you in pictures.

The finished chalk ink fox with all the detail. I then sprayed it with clear spray paint to seal it in. Still no oil added. 

The final piece with oils. I let the spray paint set for two weeks before I started painting the oils on top. All the highlights and fine detail the fox are oils. The dried grass, sticks, and additional snow detail is all snow as well. 

This one was done for a chocolate fondue display at work around Valentines Day. I like using the white on just the plain background. It feels like a scratch board. Our store won first place for the display that this was part of.

  

I know I posted the single monkey and the parrot before but all four of these are part of the artisan chocolate display that i put up at my store. Definitely one of the best setups I have done at Harmons. 

It is finished! No cracks or anything. I am so glad I got it to work. I always expect the first time to be difficult and this was. All the kinks have been worked out and I have more ideas on the list for this method.

I worked really hard on this piece over the last few months. It combines chalkink with oils. I was doing it to turn into the Hogle zoo art competition this year. However when I went to grab it this morning to do one last check it had started to crack and peel. It is the best painting I've ever done.

I'm hoping it is fixable. We will see.

Here are some of the things I've been working on at work.  At home I have not got a lot done because we just moved and the house we bought still has to be fixed up. I will get it done eventually.

This one was for the 4th. It was up above our seasonal aisle.

These two (monkey and parrot) are for the cheese island's artisan chocolate display. We are going for a "bean to bar" jungle theme.

I think this is pretty self explanatory.

Just a quick one for our chile roast celebration this year.

This is the Mount Timpanogoes temple in American Fork, Utah. Did it for my sister's friend who got married there.

This one is turning out great and I'm exciting to see how it turns out in the end.
